Flash fiction assessment phase: You can vote! (If you took part.)

The preliminary assessment phase of the VII Edition of the International Short Story Competition is now underway, and this time it involves participants rating stories themselves – though not their own, of course. If you submitted at least one story into this year’s contest, go to the homepage of the César Egido Serrano Foundation for instructions on how to take part in voting. I’ve been doing it for the last hour, possibly longer, long enough to notice some definite trends in themes and subjects. Also, one particular character name has been cropping up with surprising regularity in the stories I’ve received so far.

If you didn’t participate in this year’s competition, you’ll have to wait till next time to see if the collaborative voting system is used again.

Happy reading and evaluating and rating!

  1. Wow. That’s an interesting process. Go for it, Barry. And the common name??

    1. Very interesting, yes. And quite soothing, as each piece is 100 words or less. Once I started reading them, it was hard to stop. Lily.
