Stories on your radio

I’ve been working on a story for an upcoming Elwood Writers special for Cover to Cover on Vision Australia Radio. The deadline to get the material to producer Tim McQueen is early October, so the program might well go to air later this year, a spring/summer broadcast, but we don’t have any more detail as yet.

The theme for the program? Well, we’ve been quite expansive with this year’s theme, and the working title is: “Elwood Writers presents: The Writers’ Choice”, with a mix of new work or favourites we’ve already written that haven’t yet aired on the radio.

The story I have in mind for my contribution to the program is almost done. I’ve shared the beginning and middle with Elwood Writers in the last two meetings of the group, and look forward to reading out and workshopping the ending during our next meeting.

More info on the radio program will be posted on the Elwood Writers website closer to October, so stay tuned to that space by making sure you’re subscribed. It’s completely free to subscribe, and it’s a good way of showing support for the group and its work, so there’s nothing to lose.

  1. Thanks, Barry. Will repost this on the EW site soon. Suddenly October feels fairly close at hand.

    1. I know, right. I like spring, but winter felt too brief. And not quite wintry enough. I’m already missing Melbourne’s 5pm sunsets.
